A very good variety of salmon orange for vase arrangements. La Chance is French for “luck”.

Floral fragrance: slightly fragrant

A very popular Japanese variety, its cultivar is an improved version of the Austin variety from England. Since its introduction, it has won numerous awards in Japan.

A small shrub with a compact, evenly branched, and beautiful shape. The branches are moderately thick and upright, producing multiple blooms that stand upright without drooping. The flowers are round, with a moderate to numerous petals arranged in a lotus shape, each petal pointed. The color gradually lightens from the inside out, reaching a deep salmon color at the center—a very soft hue. The fragrance is moderate and gentle, and individual flowers are long-lasting. It exhibits excellent disease resistance and genetics, and a series of varieties have been developed through bud mutation.
